Big news! For those in the Daytona Beach and surrounding area, I will be hosting an information session on Feb 9th at the Port Orange library from 2-4 regarding my experience volunteering abroad through Cross Cultural Solutions.
At the meeting, I'll be addressing:
- Why I selected CCS as the program to volunteer through.
- Steps taken prior to departure.
- Why pay to volunteer? What all your fee covers.
- The homebase and surrounding area in Bangkok.
- The staff in Bangkok
- Placement
- Cultural Activites
- Free time activities
- Things of note in Bangkok
- etc
as well as answering any questions you may have for me~
Hope to see you out there!

So I’m at this cafe, where they make everything fresh and that includes amazing crepes and coffee and biscottis.
The bar is made of wood, the two guys working the back wear white button downs and black vests, and the shop smells of Nutella and coffee.
Currently, there are two women having what appears to be a very animated and wonderful conversation in Italian while the older gentleman sitting with them scans the newspaper for something of interest.
And I’m off in my corner with my Hobbit book, having my daily staring contest with the muffins.

Khap Kun Kha and more
Spent today writing Thank You notes to the people who donated to my volunteer fund. With the brace, they're probably not the most beautiful things I've ever penned but I think the message is clear enough. Or at least, I hope it is. I can provide subtitles if need be.
I just wanted to try and find a way to personally thank each person who supported my efforts. I included a photo in each card as well, of some of my favorite moments from the trip. Each person got a different photo, which was kind of fun for myself to go through and pick what I thought the person would like the best.
I believe I may send a few cards out to others who couldn't donate monetary wise, however expressed interest in the trip and offered their support in other ways. Sometimes you simply can't give money even if you wish you could, and several people have supported me in various other ways when that was the case, so I think they deserve a Thank You just as much as the others.
